I'm a 16-year-old game developer from Spain.
I make games because apparently my brain decided that spending 6 hours debugging a variable that was set to 0 is a better use of my time than having a normal life.
I mainly use GameMaker and GML, although I occasionally look at other programming languages and immediately think:
"Yeah, GML was fine actually."
I'm currently working on Dreams?, an RPG that started as a school project and has somehow grown into a significantly larger problem.
It has:
My development methodology is basically:
Have stupid idea โ implement stupid idea โ accidentally make it work โ refuse to remove it.
I also make music, experiment with random mechanics, build unnecessarily complicated systems for extremely simple problems, and occasionally spend an entire afternoon fixing something only to discover that the problem was an invisible object on the wrong layer.
Yes.
That actually happened.
Mostly because it's fun.
I'm learning game development by making actual games, breaking them, fixing them, breaking them again, and occasionally remembering to save my project before doing something catastrophically stupid.
I'm not trying to pretend I'm some AAA developer.
I'm literally just a teenager making weird games on my computer.
And honestly?
It's pretty fun.
Yes, I know it looks like Deltarune in places.
Congratulations. You have successfully identified one of my inspirations.
You may now return to the surface.
If you have constructive criticism, though, I'm genuinely interested.
If you just came here to write:
"DELTARUNE RIPOFF ๐ค"
I'm afraid you'll have to get in line behind the other 47 people who have already discovered the same thing.
Anyway, welcome to my itch.io page.
Feel free to play my games, report bugs, give feedback, or watch me make increasingly questionable programming decisions.
Please enjoy your stay.
And remember:
If it works, it's a feature. If it doesn't work, it's a bug. If I can't find the bug, it's a feature again.
